Question
We have a small wooden table (from Target)with some kind of finish on it, don't know what it is, maybe it's just polished. Can a coat of polyurethane be brushed over top of it to protect it? What should be done to prepare it?

Answer
Poly is really good and can be used to add extra protection. There may be some kind of sealer on that "target" table, but I imagine its not all that great. They use thick amounts of liquid poly at bars and restaurants to add big time protection.

Good luck!
