Question
I have and antique oak roll top desk. I cannot get the roll top to open. My question is how do I get it to be slideable again.

Answer
It depends on what type of roll top desk it is. The danish roll top desks tend to use "tambor" wood to create a bend and slide in wooden rails.

But many American style roll top desks are more simple basically runners or plastic glides that create the slide.

Can you email me a picture of it?
