Cabinets, Furniture, Woodworks/table

Question
Hello Kirk, here's my problem.  My wife put a plug in air freshener on our nice kitchen table.  It leaked and we didn't notice it for several days.  It stripped the wood finish and actually got into the stain somewhat.  We let the finish redry but there is a pattern of the table cloth embedded in the table and it is really discolored.  Can you tell me what I need to do to get it to look close to right?  Thanks, Bret

Answer
I would recommend trying "triple zero steel wool" which you can get at a hardware store. See if you can't work it out a little. Also try to find a furniture oil made for whatever wood it is that you have. If it doesn't work you may have to get a professional in your home to do some refinish work.

Good luck.
