Question
Is there any good way to strip and re-stain these cabinet doors and drawer fronts?  I would prefer a warm light tone and really would not like to paint the cabinets.  Thank you for your help.

Answer
Hi Helen
Nice to hear from you.
Helen this seems to be the most asked question in this category.
You ask "is there a good way?" The answer is yes if it will work.
You see it depends on the age of the existing finish and wether the wood will take a darker stain after its stripped.
The only way to find this out is do a test door.
Get this stripper

A small can to start.
Follow all directions.
Do one door through the complete process of stripping and staining.
There is no other way.
Keep me posted

Expertise

Hi..I can answer most questions about the repairing, stripping and refinishing of all your old furniture and wood items(the things we call antiques)I can give advice about what to buy/avoid at auctions/flea markets. I do not give appraisals on antiques.

Experience

I have been refinishing antiques for the past 30yrs. While I have taken several courses over the years,I have found that "hands on" learning is the best teacher. Perhaps I can help you avoid some of the mistakes I made while learning.
