Question
Hi Eileen

My husband and I strip furniture and have been doing so for years. He's also a cabinet maker and woodworker. He has made be several beautiful pieces over the years. The problem that we are having is locating this 1850 Circa stripper. We live in Swanton, VT, close to the Canadian border and cannot believe how hard this is to find! The last load we purchased was from Newport, VT. That was a 2 1/2 hour drive for us. Do you know of any distributors close to our location? We would greatly appreciate it as we have come to love this product. Not many people in our area strip furniture by hand, like you and I do, so we are pretty busy but this is our problem. We cannot locate the product without paying a fortune for it. Anything you can offer would be great. Thanks again, and happy stripping. Dianne Day

Answer
Hi Dianne
So nice to hear from a fellow stripper LOL.
I am up in Canada and must admit I am not very knowledgable about locations in the states but first try this place.

This is a contact and I'll bet they can help you.
You are correct this is an excellant product.
Do you have Home Hardware stores where you are?
Well the Home hardware house brand is identical to the Circa performance wise.
I paid $32.00 plus tax for the last gallon of Circa.
It has increased a good bit this last few years.
I purchase the Home Hardware house brand by the 5 gallon can for 100.00 plus tax.
If you don't mind the inconvenience of the heavy can its the best way to go.
Hope this helps a bit.
Kind Regards
Eileen

Expertise

Hi..I can answer most questions about the repairing, stripping and refinishing of all your old furniture and wood items(the things we call antiques)I can give advice about what to buy/avoid at auctions/flea markets. I do not give appraisals on antiques.

Experience

I have been refinishing antiques for the past 30yrs. While I have taken several courses over the years,I have found that "hands on" learning is the best teacher. Perhaps I can help you avoid some of the mistakes I made while learning.
