Question
I can't find any teak oil and I have purchased a dining room set and chairs. It's
an older set in great condition.  The table had pads on it so there isn't a scratch.
Yet, I feel it needs to be oiled.  What can I use?

Answer
Diane,

I've used Teak Oil before, it's great stuff. Try ordering some from Woodcraft:   http://www.woodcraft.com/family.aspx?FamilyId=5592

Or look at their site and find a store near you, I think they have a page where you can search for a store by zip code.

I've also seen Watco Teak Oil at my local Ace Hardware, you might try them, too.

Other than actually using Teak Oil, I don't know of an oil that will give you similar results. You might consider using regular Watco, too, it's probably not too different. But Teak Oil would be best. Don't use Linseed oil, or Waterlox. You want something that will penetrate deeply and rejuvenate. Natural (which is clear) Watco would work, you possibly could thin it down a bit, too, to facilitate penetration and drying. Maybe 75% Watco, 25% odorless mineral spirits.

Good luck, I think your best best is buying some from Woodcraft or Ace. Write back if you have more questions and I'll try to help.
