Question
what's the best way to clean ( and with what) everyday cleaning on cherry wood cabinets to keep them like new

Answer
Hi Leslie
Nice to hear from you.
Just a gentle wipe with warm water and your mild dish soap (not to be confused with "dish washer soap".
Always dry afterwards.
Really nothing harsher is needed. And you will likely only be wiping down the much used areas of your cabinets like in front of the sink and prep areas.
But there will likely be times (depending on your cooking habits), that a degreaser will be needed in some areas. Look for one of those orange cleaner degreasers. They are really great.
I find that only one swipe over an area with this stuff is all thats needed with drying after.
Remember, moisture is woods worst enemy.

Eileen

Expertise

Hi..I can answer most questions about the repairing, stripping and refinishing of all your old furniture and wood items(the things we call antiques)I can give advice about what to buy/avoid at auctions/flea markets. I do not give appraisals on antiques.

Experience

I have been refinishing antiques for the past 30yrs. While I have taken several courses over the years,I have found that "hands on" learning is the best teacher. Perhaps I can help you avoid some of the mistakes I made while learning.
