Question
I think I have a teak laminate coffee table with a small chip on the surface and the underlay is exposed. It is to deep to sand out, how can I repair this problem
Answer Well, if you can find a really good repairman, they would probably remove that whole piece of veneer if it is patterned strips, and replace it. If it isn't possible to replace a strip of veneer your only other option would be wood filler. You will have to be careful here, and use a professional to get the color right. I have found that a mix of walnuts, oaks, and even natural fillers can make the right color depending on the area on the wood where your damage is. I am not aware if they make a teak color filler, but if you can find one, that would be your best bet. Be careful though, because if it is for outdoor teak, it won't match.
