QuestionQUESTION: i just schlacked a wall of new pine paneling (2 coats) what is the wearability of todays schlack?
ANSWER: Hi Sonny
Nice to hear from you.
Its one of the best and most durable finishes out there in my opinion.
Its been around a long time.
When we built our local rec Hall 33 years ago, the painter used it on all the doors, window and base trims.
Its still perfectly fine after all this time.
And applied to pine paneling it will last for years.
Good choice

Eileen

AnswerHi again Sonny
This is a co-incidence.
We are working on a building that was once a township office.
In the council chambers there is a large beautifully framed cork board.
Its about 5x6 feet. We have to replace the cork if we want to retain this board.
We have been making inquiries as to where the cork can be purchased and apparently its available by the roll. We are told to try places like the Home Depot or local lumber yards or office supply stores.
Apparently its readily available but we have not got ours yet.
I just Googled corkboard retailers in Canada and found numerous places where it can be ordered.
Try your area.
