Question
I bought an wood cherry red color entertainment unit, but it didnt not match with my other furniture.  Can I repaint it darker color, like mahoney or black.  How much involve?
thanks

Answer
Hi Lily, you can always paint over anything, but to change the color of a clear finished piece is more difficult. I am not familiar with the products available in your Country, but you could definitely spray it black with a good lacquer based spray paint like Krylon. Any refinishing like this is rather involved and takes a bit of skill and knowledge, if it's something you've never done before, I wouldn't suggest learning on this piece. It's also fairly important to know if it's really wood, or not. Many more inexpensive pieces use Vinyl and other veneers that look like wood, but are not, and therefore do not lend themselves to refinishing very well.......please feel free to post back- regards- Greg
