Question
Hi,
I bought a dresser from leons...the material is rubberwood veneer..Somehow something spilled, and has eaten away at some of the veneer and left brown/white spots... is there anyway to repair this...or is the dresser pretty much toast.

Answer
Hi Christina
Nice to hear from you.
All that we can do with this type of damage is try to disguise it.
This is an almost impossible repair to make in the home.
A pro shop could likely do it though.
If you want to disguise it use this.

This is a lacquer spray that comes in many colors.
If you decide to try it, please get back to me before you do.

Expertise

Hi..I can answer most questions about the repairing, stripping and refinishing of all your old furniture and wood items(the things we call antiques)I can give advice about what to buy/avoid at auctions/flea markets. I do not give appraisals on antiques.

Experience

I have been refinishing antiques for the past 30yrs. While I have taken several courses over the years,I have found that "hands on" learning is the best teacher. Perhaps I can help you avoid some of the mistakes I made while learning.
