Question
I have a large Ethan Allen maple country crossings table and the top is in very bad shape from water spills hot plates etc any suggestions?  My hutch is perfect and I would like to fix the top of the table

Hi Catherine, my suggestion is that it needs to be refinished...and it's most likely a lacquer top, and if you've never done this type of finishing, it's best left to a Pro...it's not an easy job, and needs to be done correctly to match the original finish.Dining tables are the hardest things to refinish, and take knowledge, skill, and experience...........regards- Greg
