Question
Hi Kirk,

I bought a Bramin teak bedroom furniture set in 1984 at Form in Teak in Burlington, MA.  It has been terrific and is still beautiful.  However, after a number of relocations, we are having some problems with the drawer slides.

They are 3/4 extension ball bearing slides. They measure 9 1/2 inches long by 1 inch wide.  There is a metal piece that screws to the drawer and another that screws into the furniture frame.  Sandwiched in between is a plastic piece that holds 6 ball bearings at the top and bottom which rolls between the two rails.

Can you tell me where to get replacement slides for this application.  Is there anything made today that can easily be used to replace them?

Thanks for you consideration,
Richard

Answer
My grandfather is the owner of Form In Teak.   :-)

I have heard about Bramin many times. They are no longer around unfortunately. I had my grandfather look for you, but we do not have any of those runners here anymore.

So your best bet is to try Schockmetal.com. They tend to have many different runners. I hope this helps. Best of luck to you.
