Question
Hi Greg,

I was on my way home from my friend's house and i happened to notice 3 chairs in the garbage.  When i stopped to pick them up, I noticed they were nice chairs so i took them home.  Upon further examination, i found out they were the subject chairs.  2 of them are in great condition, and 1 is in quasi-fair condition.  On the bottom it says they are from 1975, my question is, what would be a ballpark price to sell them at, and if i should refinish them or not.

Thank you.

Answer
Hi Trevor, I can't really guess on value of a chair such as this...Ethan Allen furniture of the mid seventies was mass produced, well made, and of decent quality, but probably not worth an awful lot. The other issue is the number-3. Not an ideal number of chairs to sell. Most people will want sets of 4-6 at least. They're not Antique, so refinishing(well), will probably only add to any value, and certainly sale-ability. Hope that helps- Greg
