Hi-
I had some build up on my cherry glossy dining table.  Someone suggested to use a wax build up remover for floors.  I did and now the surface is cloudy and dull-looks like you could write your name with your finger but it will not polish back up.  I did put some orange glo oil on it and it seems to hide the damage-if the iol is washed off, it is cloudy again-how can i repair? someone said to use beeswax...please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Jay, ouch....I'm sorry you took that advice before coming here...sounds like you've chemically burned the lacquer finish...can you please post the name of the wax remover? Don't keep applying stuff to it, it won't help, and can further damage the finish. You may have ruined the finish, and might need to have the top refinished, but let me investigate the product and I'll let you know what I find.....Regards- Greg
