Question
I spilt nail polish remover (acetone free) on my oak table and it ate through the wood before I could mop it up!  There is now a big white blotch on my table.  Any ideas?

Hi Jill, I'm pretty sure this is not something you can fix yourself, especially if you can feel that the area is rough, or the finish is gone in the spill area.... unless you have experience spraying and repairing lacquer finishes. I would call in a Pro to evaluate it with you. A furniture restorer should offer you a free estimate...and I would contact a few long standing, reputable Antique dealers in your area for recommendations...they'll know who is good.
