Question
Hi,
Can you recommend any polishes for wood? How do I know what makes a good polish versus one that is not?

Thanks,
Heidi

Answer
Hi Heidi
Nice to hear from you.
We have a bad storm happening here and I must shut down the PC but I wanted to get your info to you.
Here is the wax you want to use.

Things like Pledge contain chemicals that can actually damage the finish. Oils attract dirt so avoid them too.
I'll bet like me you have used both on your furniture.
And our mothers before us LOL.
Hope this helps
Kind Regards
Eileen

Expertise

Hi..I can answer most questions about the repairing, stripping and refinishing of all your old furniture and wood items(the things we call antiques)I can give advice about what to buy/avoid at auctions/flea markets. I do not give appraisals on antiques.

Experience

I have been refinishing antiques for the past 30yrs. While I have taken several courses over the years,I have found that "hands on" learning is the best teacher. Perhaps I can help you avoid some of the mistakes I made while learning.
