Question
Hello,
I have dark stain kitchen cabinets and I hate them now. I build house in 80's and dark was in.  I do not really want to paint them, is there anything that will lighten them up?
What about the smell, is there something without an odor? I am a lung patient.

Nice to hear from you.
In order to remove the dark color from your birch cabinets they need to be stripped with an MC stripper.
Unfortunately this will be very bad for your lungs. Sorry but thats the way it is.
Settle for a nice paint job with water based paint. Your health comes first. The stripper will be deadly for you.
