Question
I just purchased a rubberwood table and already have put a scratch on it.  I have tried numerous waxes I have here to no avail.  Does rubberwood have some kind of scratch repair solution.
Every other wood product I have has some great cures to hide the scratch.\Nothing absorbed in the rubberwood to minimize the scratch.

Answer
Hi Sandra, it's not so much the wood, but the actual finish that's ON the Rubberwood.....probably lacquer or possibly a Urethane. Wax can only do so much, and will really only hide scratches well if the finish is wax as well. Now it will need to be removed from the scratch area now to touch up the scratch. Wet a clean rag with some mineral spirits, and rub the wax off , drying with another clean rag as you go. If the scratch disappears when wet with the mineral spirits, then you'll need to use the top coat that's on the table to repair it. The manufacturer or seller should be able to supply you with the answer. When dry is the scratch white?
