Question
we have natural cherry cabinets with clear coat. They are simple mission styel. we are redoing the kitchen and the Isnad is now bisque with a choc. glaze. The couter tops and back splash are honey and brown. We would like to get a pickel;ed or distressd look out of existing cabinets. Any ideas?

Answer
Refacing?? Honestly, there's no easy way to do what you want to the existing cabinets, and if you did, it would likely be as expensive as just refacing/replacing. Working with finished cabinets, especially factory finished cabinets is really not recommended, because they typically use catalyzed clear coats which are very hard and won't give good adhesion under some new finish schedule.
