Question
QUESTION: My kitchen cabinets are 13years old and in very good condition. I clean them with warm water and fairy liquid. I would like to give them a polish but, I don't know which product to use. Can you please give me some advice on what to use and how to maintain my solid maple cabinets.

Regards
Marion Long

QUESTION: It's a mild washing up liquid  which can be used for all household chores. I'm from Ireland so you may not  know of this product.

Answer
Ahhh...that would explain it. I'm not too sure what to recommend to you in that part of the world, as I don't know what finish is on your cabinets.....and what products you would have access to. If the "fairy liquid" is a soap product, then it might be leaving some residue or a soap film behind which can cloud the finish over time. If you bought the cabinets from a well known factory or cabinet shop, they will have a recommendation for you I'm sure. There are some oil based polishes in an aerosol can or trigger type sprayer over here, like Guardsman, Old English, Weimans, etc. all are Silicone free, and Wax free, and are a good choice for occasional use, combined with a fair amount of "elbow Grease"........let me know- Regards - Greg
