Question We recently moved across country and I had to move my roll top desk. In doing so, I have lost one of the metal bars for my filing drawer. There is a slot the width of the drawer for the two bars to rest the hanging file folders on. Now, one is gone and I have no clue of where to find one. The desk manufacturer is probably out of business by now. It was made by Oak Crest Manufacturing in Calif. Any ideas?
Answer Hi Shirley, I don't think you can find an exact match, but you can find many different sized flat metal bar stock at a good Home Center. Take the remaining one with you and see if you can get something that will match, or come close. You can also get Pendaflex file holders at a place like Staples which is a freestanding file holder, that comes with similar rails that might work for you. best of luck, post back if need be- Greg
Here's a link to the Pendaflex file holder kits, and you'll see the rails I was referring to. I'm assuming that's what you need, just the side rails, and I believe Staples, Office Max, etc sells these kits, or you might contact Pendaflex directly and see if they'll sell you the rails only. Best of luck, Greg
