Question
I have a teak dining room set, about 22 years old, was not faithful in oiling it last 10 years. One chair back, with slats, has fallen apart and almost all others are loose. Can they be repaired? This was a 4K investment and I still love it... Thanks
Hi Lida, yes, they can be repaired. They will need to be reglued with the proper glue, (depending what was used originally), but the joints need to still fight fairly tightly. If you're not familiar with repairs like this, I'd take it to a Pro Restorer to repair. It should not be a lot of money to have a simple repair job, and I would definitely check all the chairs, and if they're loose, have them all reglued, as they can break if they're loose leading to a much more substantial repair bill.
