Cabinets, Furniture, Woodworks/pedestal for bar fridge

Question
I am planning to purchase a 4.2 cubic "bar" fridge to give me some extra refrigeration space in my apartment. I plan to put it in my laundry room beside my small upright freezer. As the fridge is only about 32 inches high, I would like to elevate it as I have difficulty bending down. Do you know of any plans available on the internet for such a pedestal? I would like basic plans that could be adapted to the dimensions of the fridge. I need something simple so that I could ask "Home Depot" or one of the other similar places to recommend a carpenter or handyman to construct the pedestal. Also, do you know of any reason why I shouldn't elevate this fridge? According to the specs, it weighs about 75 pounds. Thanks for the info.

Answer
Hi Terri, I'm sure you could easily build some type of pedestal/cabinet to elevate the fridge, but I am not aware of any plans for such a thing. You could use a readymade kitchen cabinet though, from a place like Home depot, that certainly would be the easiest, and you could put a top on it and even screw it to the wall for stability. A cabinet maker or Carpenter would also be able to help with designing and building a custom solution. Hope that helps- regards- Greg
