Question
Given a manufactured cedar door(probably used as a suana enrance) 2.5 inches thick, 24 inches wide and 76 inches long and weighing 50 lbs or so, can you suggest ways to attach legs to make this a headboard at a height of 22-26 inches from the floor?

Answer
Hi Michael, a floating tenon, or surface mounted brace,(or routed into the legs and back), from 1/2" cabinet grade ply wood would allow you to mount some legs.....affixing it to the wall might also be a good idea. The legs really won't see a lot of stress typically, as the bed frame will take the weight of the persons and bedding.....post back if need be- Greg

No apology needed, but I'm concerned that you saw fit to rate me a "7" for "helpfulness". Was I unclear, or perhaps didn't answer the question fully? I strive to be as helpful as possible, and a "7" doesn't seem to indicate that you were satisfied with the answer....please feel free to post back if I could be clearer or more helpful!- thanks - Greg
