Question I recently purchased an antique roll top desk for my daughter. The tambour canvas was rotted and I was able to remove it completely. What type of canvas (or other material) do you recommend, where can you purchase it, what type of adhesive do you recommend for the canvas/wood application?
Answer Hi Robert, What you need is canvas duck or a medium weight canvas sold at marine shop and fabric shops, perhaps even a good old fashioned hardware store. You also need hide glue which you also can get from any decent hardware store. Thanks for the question.
