Question
I was installing the handle on brand new cherry wood kitchen drawer and the drill bit gashed the wood about 1/8-1/4 inch beyond handle's end.  is there a way to fix this?   thank you...

Hi Cal, you'll need to fill any damage with a stainable filler and then touch it up depending on how bad it is, which may not be so easy if you're not familiar with the techniques.making an invisible repair is difficult, even for a pro...if it's any worse than a touch up marker could fix, it might be worth having a pro look at it, though....the drawer front should be easy to remove and then you could take it to a restorer, or even order a new one, which might not be too expensive, and the chances of getting the exact color replacement are good because these are new cabinets...... hope that helps- post back if need be- Greg
