Question
I have a 80 year old Cherry Wood Cedar Chest.  It has been passed twice through our family and has acquired Wax buildup.  How do I remove the wax buildup?

Answer
Hi Patricia, Wax buildup and grime can be removed with mineral spirits and some clean rags....you can even use some 0000 steelwool or a white Scotchbrite pad, with the grain, followed by wiping with the rags. Use a light colored rag so you can see thew residue being removed and stop when there's no mre showing up on the rags. If that doesn't remove it, then it's not wax buildup you're seeing....hope that helps- regards- Greg
