Question
I have a dresser that we need to remove the drawers but I can't figure out out to release the guides.  We have a triple slide, I can't find anywhere that would release the drawer.   Please help

Answer

drawer release tab
Hi Darlene,

When you pull the drawer all the way out, there is probably some sort of tab that will release the drawer box. Look for it at the end of one of the three extensions.

Sometimes you have to pull the tab out, or push it up, or down. Play with it; move it around and lightly pull on the drawer box until you feel it release. It should be pretty easy to figure it out, if you find the tab.

I am attaching a picture of a common glide. Press the tab in, and it releases the box. Be careful, there is usually grease on the slide, and it can be messy.

To reinstall the drawer, align the track on the drawer in the track on the inside of the cabinet. Press the box all the way in and they will "click" and lock together.

If you don't have the exact tab that I've photographed, look for something similar, in this same location.

Hope this helps. Write back if you have trouble and I'll try to help again. Good luck!
