hi there

i am busy building a wooden coffee table but have to glue the legs together as the legs will be solid blocs of wood in the size of 150mm thick 750mm length and 350mm high the wood is not flush for gluing together.

what is the best way to get them flush for gluing?

Georel,

The best way to make them absolutely flat for gluing them is by using a jointer. Period. Don't let anyone tell you there is another tool that will do it as well.

A jointer is the only tool in the woodshop that will give you an absulutely flat surface. Other tools might give the appearance of making the wood totally flat, but they don't do it nearly as accurately as a jointer.
