Question
i have painted white gloss paint on garden bench over originall wood paint, i first painted with red ceder fence paint this would not dry, washed down and this is the reason for white gloss, is there anyway please that i can get back to red ceder garden furniture paint, without too much work i am 76 years of age was not able to see that fence paint was not suitable

Hi Joyce, there is no easy way to get back to the original finish...it takes a lot of work to strip all that off...I would consider taking it to a stripper and having them strip the bench for you...that shouldn't be too expensive, and it's the only way to revert back to square one....where you'll want to be if you hope to produce a lasting paint job...hope that helps- sorry I don't have a better answer- regards- Greg
