QUESTION: hi..i am thinking of putting up a wood fence in the back yard, and am wondering what kind of wood is best for not attracting termites. i have read that termites do not eat cedar but just wanted to ask and see what you say. i have had termites there before and sure do not wish to have more! thank  you!!!

ANSWER: Cedar is insect resistant, but it's also quite soft and marks and dings easily...Pressure treated is another option. What's the budget?

QUESTION: dont overlook vinyl...do you mean they can put vinyl over the wood or something like that??

Answer
No-No...they make fencing from solid vinyl....and other plastics as well...some recycled products too, I believe...my father has about 400' of white Vinyl fencing along the front of his New England farm house here in CT...never needs paint, can be power washed- nice stuff.
