Question
I have a 45 year old candlelight finish rock maple dining table that needs the top surface cleaned. I say cleaned because I don't think it need refinishing as it doesn't have any gouges or scars, etc. The surface has not been properly cared for and I was wondering if there was some product or method I could use to deep clean it and see if that will work?

Answer
Hi Sandee,

There is a product that will clean and rejuvenate your dining table at the same time. Although I haven't used it in a long time, I remember that it works well. It's called Formby's Conditioning Furniture Refinisher. Here is a link to read about it:

I suggest you see if your local Home Depot or Lowes sells it, and try it on your table. It both cleans the old grime, and rejuvenates the finish at the same time. Might be the perfect product for you.

Good luck, hope this helps.
