Question
Is there any way a dresser top can be repaired from water damage. Part of my dresser top is made from pressboard and has bucked up due to water damage. Can this be repaired or am I looking at replacing the entire top?

Answer
If the pressboard has swelled, it can't be repaired, and if the top is pressboard then likely the whole piece is and it won't be possible to purchase a new top. You'll have to replace the dresser. A top could likely be made by a Cabinet/Furniture maker, but this would likely not be worth it, as it would cost more than the dresser quite possibly. Regards- Greg
