Hi,

I am planning to buy a folding wooden dish drainer rack, and would like to extend its life by applying a water-resistant coating.  Is there a non-toxic product that can do this?  Thanks for your insight.   Larry

Hi Larry, you can apply something like WaterLox "Original" or "Marine", (which is very glossy)....but it will only provide a little bit of protection....something like a dish rack will be subject to constant wetting and drying, and nothing will keep that from eventually taking it's toll on the piece......a penetrating product like the WaterLox won't chip, flake or peel though, so it's a pretty good bet, and when dry is non toxic.Poke around on the website....
