Question
I recently moved out of a rental. While living there, my daughter attached a self adhesive baby lock on the lower cabinet doors. The landlord wants me to remove them, but I am afraid I will ruin the cabinet doors by doing so. What is a safe way to remove them without damaging the doors?

Answer
There are many products out there that can help to remove the adhesive. I would explain the situation and the lock to someone at a home depot or a Loews. See what they recommend. Its usually a slow process, because it needs to slowly eat away at it. Usually you start at one side and it will start to work through.

You can clean up the leftover residue with a "Goo Gone" type product. For a finishing touch you may want to oil your cabinet doors if they are natural wood. Hope this helps. Good luck.
