Cabinets, Furniture, Woodworks/older wood headboard

Question
Is it possible to adapt a wood headboard that uses wood rails to be used with a metal frame?

Answer
It can be done, usually it has to be done using "bolt connectors." Someone would have to probably drill out some holes in the headboard for the bolt connectors to work. You have to be careful here, usually a professional will hold a block of wood on the other side of the headboard(opposite of drilling)to help prevent cracking or splitting.
