Question
I live in a small cabin and all the trim inside around windows, door frames,
ceiling/wall joints, etc. is rough cedar.  I am happy with the color and texture
except that it sheds more than I would like.  For instance, especially in the
bathroom which is tiny, when I dry my hair, there is always residue in the air
and on counter tops, etc.  I wonder if I can seal this somehow to get a more
clean environment?  If so, what product can you recommend?  Thank you in
advance for any help.

Hi Becky, Anything that you could seal it with will change the color and the look, and rough Cedar would need a few coats to seal it well enough to make it worth it...certainly, if there's that much stuff floating around in the air, that's not healthy either. Rough Cedar is not a great choice for trimming, because it's fuzzy, and doesn't finish well.There's no easy way to make it look nice without changing the look substantially...
