Question

Vanity Pine Countertop
I need to construct 2ea. approx 24"X42" Oak Vanity Countertops.  Would like to use 1.25" or 1.50" thick by 8" wide planks.  This is a small quan. and hard to find.  Any suggestions..attached image referes.  I reside in Lake Havasu City, AZ and come to Pahrump via Las Vegas about once a@ month. I do not have a thickness planer.

Answer
Hi Roger,

Gorgeous countertop,  love that sort of design.

Another lumberyard has disappeared from LV, but luckily, there are still a few where you can buy some Oak. I would try Peterman Lumber, they're located at 4444 W. Russel, near Arville. Very easy to find, and they stock some very nice product. Their number is 702-430-3433, ask for Jeremy, if you're going to call ahead.

Also, right around the corner from them is Rugby Supply, I don't have more info but you can Google them. They often have better product, for slightly less money, but they limit the species that they carry. For Oak, you shouldn't have any problem.

Good luck, hope this helps.
