Cabinets, Furniture, Woodworks/removing super glue from two piece of wood

Question
I knew better, but I used super glue to attach a broken piece of wood to a violin.  I always use hide glue for violin work, but the broken button of the violin would not hold with hide glue when i tried to re-attach the neck.
The delicate button that I glued with super glue is not fit where it needs to be and I am afraid that it is permanent, as I have tried super glue remover to no avail.
Is there any way I can get the glue to release without breaking the fine maple? Maybe heat?
Thanks

Answer
Hey Scott, this is pretty tough stuff when it sticks properly, I'd be inclined to try to "pop" the button off with a sharp chisel and a sharp rap with a small hammer...make sure you put the edge of the blade perpendicular to the grain, so as to take the force without splitting it, and hold the chisel on the proper angle to allow the bevel to be flat on the surface....heat won't do anything, except maybe damage the surrounding wood.....the bond is a few microns thick, so I think it will "pop" off.....hope that helps- regards- Greg
