Cabinets, Furniture, Woodworks/Removing a drawer

Question
Hello Jamie,

I have a side mount drawer that I'm trying to remove,I've been trying to find some kind of levers, to lift it up when fully open but noting seems to work.
The manufacturer of the drawer is Grass, maybe you have a clue how to remove them?

Thank you,
Kostia

Answer
Good morning!

The Grass glides that I use have a rear wheel on the drawer component, which engages in a "slot" on the carcase glide component. You usually have to pull the drawer completely out, as far as it will travel, then tip the front of the drawer upward and lift it out. The tipping helps the wheels to clear each other, allowing removal.

When reinstalling the drawer, you place those rear wheels into the slot in which they fit, so they engage with each other. Lower the drawer into place, and then roll it backwards.

I hope this helps - this is the only type of Grass glide that I use, so if it's not a roller wheel glide, then I'm afraid I probably can't help you.

Good luck, hope this helps!
