Question
I have plain white cabinets. They may be particle board or something but they are not wood. Is there any way to make them look like wood with the grain. I tried different paints and nothing looks right. Is there anyway to make them look like wood without actually changing out the face of the cabinets

Answer
Hi Leigh
The only option you have is called a "false grain" technique.
The only way to know if you like the result is to try it.
Its a fairly inexpensive procedure.
Here are some simple instructions...

Expertise

Hi..I can answer most questions about the repairing, stripping and refinishing of all your old furniture and wood items(the things we call antiques)I can give advice about what to buy/avoid at auctions/flea markets. I do not give appraisals on antiques.

Experience

I have been refinishing antiques for the past 30yrs. While I have taken several courses over the years,I have found that "hands on" learning is the best teacher. Perhaps I can help you avoid some of the mistakes I made while learning.
