Question
Most of the wood work and cabinets in my home are covered in formica.My home was built in the 40s,the man who owned my home was a custom cabinet maker it was his home.I guess he was Formica crazy.The cabinets are extremely well built and i hate to tear them out.Through the years the Formica has came loose in places and the wood looks good other than the glue residue.Is there a way that i can remove the Formica and glue and save them?

Hi Marty, I know of no way to completely remove the glue residue...especially if it was contact cement...the amount of labor and effort it would take even try would be prohibitive.If it is that old, my guess is that it needs updating anyway, most likely..post back if need be- regards- Greg
