Question
Hi, I vacuumed my wood floors because the manufacture stated on the box that it could be used on wood floors.  However, they are now scratched from the wheels.  It looks as though it is only the top surface.  What can I use to get rid of the scratches without having to sand them out if possible.  Also, I have ugly white painted kitchen that the home had when we bought it.  It is shiny and I want to get rid of the paint and use the natural wood with a poly on it.  What is the easiest way to strip the paint without too much work involved?

Answer
Hi Ella...there is NO way to easily strip paint from kitchen cabinets, and it might not be paint, but a tougher, even harder to remove finish, like Acrylic Urethane or catalyzed lacquer, etc....there is also no easy fix for your scratched floors...it would depend on what finish is on them, what condition it is overall, as to how one would go about restoring the...IF it's possible. I would have a floor company in to evaluate them with you. Floor finishing (and cabinet refinishing as well) is NOT the realm of the 'DIY"er......post back if need be- regards- Greg
