Question
Dear Greg,

I am afraid that I tried to use the wrong product on my table and buffet.  I applied Rejuvenate per instructions and I now have a dull mess.  I wrote the company and they suggested using Windex Crystal clear, rub gently with a soft scrubby and allow to set 5-10 minutes to loosen the product before wiping off.  I have tried this 3 times and really afraid to work on it more in this manner. I was thinking a buffer but I need your expert advice.

Answer
Hi Sharon, I think these people should be out of business by now with all the problem questions I have seen with their so called "miracle product"....what a crock, and they're doing more damage than good...I tried to contact them regarding three or four other claims from people about this stuff ruining their cabinets, furniture, etc...and their answer was to use floor wax stripper to remove their product....and they were not concerned or even aware of the possible damage that that would do to the pieces...it's very possible you have ruined the finish on your table and buffet...and you will need professional refinishing which will likely cost several hundred dollars....I believe this stuff to be an Acrylic urethane type product, but they won't share the chemistry with anyone, and I believe what they're hawking is 'snake oil'......and that they're responsible for ruining a lot of furniture, cabinets and Antiques....without regard for any responsibility for doing so....and raking in tons of money from people who don't know any better...wish I had a better answer...but I would call in a Pro restorer to evaluate it with you, it's possible it could be removed, and then the pieces buffed out...but this is not a job for the novice.... and then send the bill to 'Rejuvenate'.....please keep me advised- Greg
