Question
Hello, i have a really nice Kathy Ireland press board / veneer bedroom set, i knew nothing about press board until i got this furniture. Early on we set different things on it and i would notice the wood rising or peeling, it was at that point i realized it wasn't real wood and that you just can't put any and everything on it. My question....how do i fix this i really like my bedroom suite besides the wears, peels and cracks, there has to be a way to make it look new again.
There is really no way to restore this type of furniture, short of covering the horizontal surfaces with a piece of 1/4" glass. It's likely not wood at all, but a paper/vinyl veneer over compressed sawdust, and is not very durable or restorable.Wish I had better news...post back if need be- regards- Greg
