Cabinets, Furniture, Woodworks/Glider Rocking Chair squeaks

Question
I have taken the chair apart, sprayed every connection with WD-40.  Stopped squeak briefly.  Took chair apart again and used candle wax on all moving part.  Stopped briefly, but now back.  Have tried tightening everything tightly - no go.  Then loosen everything - no go.  What do you suggest?

Answer
Hey Jan...this can be very frustrating, especially because the squeaking can be coming from the actual frame as well....I have even resorted to a stethoscope at times to find the location of a noise like that...WD40 is so thin that I don't use it for lubrication, it can actually wash away heavier lubricants when applied.I like the LPS products...a lot of science goes into their products and they are very good quality. I like the TKX, and #3, which is really a rust inhibitor, and leaves a waxy, lubricating film behind....whether or not they will solve your issue...I can't say...but something tells me it's more than just the metal parts..or it's an area you've missed or overlooked, like where the springs are held. Wish I could offer more help- Post back if need be - Regards- Greg
