Question
Hello!  I have purchased zig-zag springs and need to cut them to the correct lengths.  Any suggestions?  I have a Fein Multimaster but when I tried with that just one ate up my blade.  Thanks!

Answer
Hi Kristin.

Zig Zag springs are made of steel and are difficult to cut.   If you clamp the spring in a vice you can use a hack-saw used to cut metal.  Upholsterers cut zig zag springs by using a large bolt cutter.

I hope this helps.
