Cabinets, Furniture, Woodworks/Adhesive Removal

Question
Hi ... We put some stickers on wood cabinets (oh woe that we did this!) that
say "meat" and "dairy".  We now have this house up for sale and NO ONE
seems to know how to remove them without wrecking the cabinets!  Do you
have any suggestions?

The cabinets are wood - these are a plastic label with some type of tape/
adhesive on the back.

Thanks in advance!

Answer
Hi Cindy
Nice to hear from you.
Gosh I hate those stickies on things LOL.
They can be removed with varsol. Called paint thinner too.
Will not hurt the cabinets.
Just a rag dipped in it and some elbow grease.
Good luck on selling.
Kindest Regards
Eileen

Expertise

Hi..I can answer most questions about the repairing, stripping and refinishing of all your old furniture and wood items(the things we call antiques)I can give advice about what to buy/avoid at auctions/flea markets. I do not give appraisals on antiques.

Experience

I have been refinishing antiques for the past 30yrs. While I have taken several courses over the years,I have found that "hands on" learning is the best teacher. Perhaps I can help you avoid some of the mistakes I made while learning.
