QuestionI am wondering what would cause the leather to become "sticky". I had a casmier throw over the chair and everytime I move it, it is stuck the chair and sticks the chair. Thank you for your help.
AnswerHi, assuming that nothing has been spilled on the chair either by you or someone who has not told you.
First I recommend that you not have a throw over the leather since that most likely traps moisture and that will cause leather to become sticky.
Another likely cause is that there is a considerable moisture in the air where the chair is kept, that you live in a humid climate, having a throw over the chair will exacerbate that problem. Or steam coming from a kitchen nearby.
A possibility, although extremely unlikely is that the leather is defective.
I suggest you remove the throw, then if the leather is still sticky go to a hardware store and purchase a high quality saddle soap and clean the chair thoroughly following the directions and then towel dry and dry further with a hair dryer. That should resolve the problem of sticking.
I hope this is helpful to you. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have further questions.
